HILLVIEW DAIRY CURRUMBIN VOW RENEWAL | DANI + ISAAC

Hillview Dairy Currumbin

Choosing Tina as the photographer for our vow renewal was the best decision we could've made.
She is AMAZING! In all the senses of the word. The communication with her from the beginning was smooth and she answered all of our questions promptly. Not only did she talk us through the best time for our couple's shoot, but she also helped us create a timeline for the entire event so that she could capture the best moments. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and she helped us look natural. She not only captured the most beautiful moments of us, but also of our guests and all the event details.
She delivered the photos way faster than expected, with astounding quality.
The photos are far better than we could've imagined.
She is lovely, and her good vibes are contagious.
You feel as if she's your lifelong friend and you can't help but feel grateful she's there.
We couldn't be happier with the results. We absolutely love our photos.
Thank you Tina! You're the best!
~
Dani

“Today, in front of you, I know I have found the Rose to my Jack, the Grey to my Derek, the Peyton to my Lucas, the Rachel to my Ross…”

~ from Isaac’s renewed vows to Dani.

Being part of Dani & Isaac’s intimate vow renewal at Hillview Dairy in Currumbin Valley left me quite speechless. Celebrating 10 years of a blossoming and fun-filled marriage really is something so special, and something I respect so much. I have asked Dani a few questions about her and Isaac’s marriage and about their approach to planning such a romantic day to honour their commitment to each other with their closest Australian friends. I hope you enjoy hearing a bit more about these two beautiful people and looking through the memories of their sweet vow renewal celebration.

What does it mean to you to be married for 10 years?

When we look back at our journey together and we acknowledge that the best decision of every single day for the past ten years has been to choose each other, it’s such an amazing feeling! One we couldn’t wait to celebrate!

When did you decide to have a celebration for your vow renewal?
Was there a moment when you decided or did you always want to do it?

We truly believe every anniversary is worth celebrating, but 10 years deserved something even more special. We’d been talking about renewing our vows for years now, so we always kind of knew it was something we wanted to do. The details of the dream changed, but the intention was always there.

Share a bit about your planning process, how did you decide on location, guests, vendors and type of ceremony?
Any thoughts that might help others who don’t know where to start with the planning.

The process was a bit different because since we’d talked about renewing our vows for so long, we always imagined it would be in Mexico with our families. When the date approached, we started to realise that given the global situation, that wasn’t going to be possible.

There was a moment when we thought about postponing or cancelling altogether, but when we really talked about it, it became clear that even though we would’ve loved for our families to be present on that day, it was also important for us to celebrate our milestone and our love.

From there, we decided on Currumbin Valley because we LOVE it! We always say we’ll live there sometime in the future. Hillview Diary is stunning and it’s been on our list of Airbnbs to try, so that was an easy choice. In terms of guests, our wedding was big—around 250 people— so this time around we wanted something very intimate where we could spend quality time with every single person who showed up to celebrate with us. We only had 12 guests!

The other easy decision was hiring Tina as our photographer! Not only are her photos gorgeous, but from the moment we met we felt we’d known her for a long time. She’s insanely talented, and has the biggest heart.

As for any advice, I say that if you’re thinking about renewing your vows do it! You, your partner, and your relationship deserve it.

Compared to your wedding, how did you feel at your vow renewal ceremony and celebration?

We had the best time! It’s honestly been one of our favourite days ever. That was also true for our wedding, but they were completely different experiences. Since the wedding was so big and there was so much expectations and nerves, it was harder to let go and simply enjoy, whereas in the renewal we were so relaxed and comfortable, everything was so “’us”, it was only about celebrating us and about enjoying every single second. And it still went by so fast!

It’s one of the best things we’ve done for ourselves.

As always, you can find Dani & Isaac’s epic team of vendors credited at the end of this journal post.
